What Is Stamped Concrete?

Stamped concrete is a technique that is used to replicate other popular paving materials like brick, cobblestone, and slate. Stamped concrete will last longer and is a higher quality material, not to mention that it is also more economical. Concrete can be shaped, textured, and imprinted, which is a huge advantage over masonry pavers or natural stone. We can use stamped concrete to increase the appeal of your driveway, walkway, and patio.

HOW THE STAMPED CONCRETE INSTALLATION PROCESS WORKS

Stamped and colored concrete is an addition to the laying process. We add textures after the first concrete cap and after coloring but before we do the sealing. We use special mats to add different textures onto the newly poured concrete slab. Our team will handle the whole process from start to finish, and have over 20 years of experience with stamped and colored concrete so you know the job will be done right.

Want to add a little more fun to your summer? A stamped and colored concrete patio is going to be one of the best investments you will make in your life. Here are just a few compelling reasons why a stamped patio is worth the investment.

Match Any Style: Stamped concrete gets its unique look by utilizing rubber stamps. Whether you want your patio to look like wood, tile, brick, or even stone, it’s all possible with the stamping process. As such, you can customize your patio to match the style and colors of your home and landscape. You can even have it match existing elements, including your brick fire pit or stone water feature.

Longevity and Performance: Your stamped and colored concrete patio will last you for many years. It will hold up very well to heavy traffic, patio furniture, and whatever Mother Nature has to offer. If this sounds pleasing, then a stamped concrete patio might be for you!

Low Maintenance: Once your stamped concrete in North Texas has been installed, there isn’t a whole lot you need to do in the coming years. Your new patio looks great and will continue to with very little maintenance. All you really need to do is clean it with a power washer and re-seal it every few years.

Affordable– A stamped and colored concrete patio isn’t going to set you back financially as much as using other materials. In a nutshell, a stamped patio is a bargain for what you get, and it will serve you well for a long time. That’s an investment that makes perfect sense!

QUESTIONS PEOPLE ASK ABOUT STAMPED CONCRETE IN NORTH TEXAS

How Long Will My Stamped Patio Last?

An adequately installed stamped concrete patio will last just as long as a traditional concrete patio. As such, you can expect to enjoy your new patio for several decades. Better still, your new stamped patio requires very little maintenance, so you can spend your summers enjoying your patio as opposed to working on it.

Is Stamped Concrete Slippery?

People often ask this question because stamped concrete just looks like it is slippery. The truth is that stamped concrete is no more slippery than traditional concrete surfaces. That said, your stamped patio will become slippery when it is wet, just like traditional concrete surfaces.

Does Stamped Concrete Look Like The Real Deal?

You bet it does. In fact, unless you take a very close look at it, you can’t tell the difference between stamped concrete and the material it replicates. That is, your brick-stamped patio looks like it was made with bricks, and your cobblestone pattern patio will look just like real cobblestones. Nevertheless, the likeness is undoubtedly impressive.

Will Stamped and Colored Concrete Fade or Crack?

Heavy traffic, harsh weather conditions, and time will eventually take a toll on your patio. So you can expect that at some point in the future, your stamped and colored concrete will fade a bit, and cracks might occur. However, the same can be said for traditional concrete, as it will become discolored and could crack in time as well.
